Day 18: Hornillos to Castrojeriz

Another day on the Meseta. It looks a lot like parts of the Midwest. Wheat fields as far as the eye can see give ample opportunity to reflect, question, and introspect.

I passed the crumbling ruins of a convent hundreds of years old on my way into town, and it provided some gorgeous photo opportunities.

Tomorrow is a longer mileage day, so I’ll be in bed early tonight and up early tomorrow to get ahead of the relentless sun. I don’t want this farmer tan I’ve got going to get any worse!
