Day 40: O Cebreiro to Triacastela

Now in the Galicia region, the views out of O Cebreiro are considered to be the most beautiful of the entire Camino. Leaving the albergue in the morning, I could see the deep mist and low clouds that had settled into the mountains overnight. Just the peaks of the mountains were sticking up through the mist, making it look as if they were floating. This region is green and heavily wooded, almost looking like something out of a fairy tail!

There were lots of hills to start the day, and then the path was sharply downhill for the last 6 kms. into Triacastela.

Most of the little villages in Galicia have churches that look just like this
A beautiful little calico. She let me pet her, and then she fell asleep
