It was very pleasant on the trail the last few days. Yesterday was about 13 miles and today was about 11. The trail has flattened out considerably. There are some hills, but large stretches of flat land as well. Today in particular was really nice, as much as the walk was along an irrigation canal, and was also quite shaded.

The new shoes seem to be working well. I’m reminded of how when little kids get new shoes that they’re convinced that they can run fast faster. It’s kind of the same thing, lol. I feel like my pace has picked up just a little bit.

The last two evenings have been nice as well, as the places I’ve stayed have had communal dinners, and I’ve met people from Bosnia, Canada, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
